Student Privacy Framework
Local-First Storage: All your habits, journal entries, grades, and reflections are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. No background sync or telemetry runs — your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Cross-Device Sync or Export features.
Cross-Device Sync (opt-in): When you tap Generate Sync Code, your data is temporarily held server-side under a single-use 6-character code that expires after 24 hours and is deleted the moment another device consumes it. No account, email, or identity is attached. If you never use sync, no data ever touches any server.
Local Encryption: When enabled, journals, notes, and grades are encrypted with a key derived from your password before being written to localStorage. The key lives only in temporary session memory and is wiped on sign-out or tab close — other users on the same computer cannot read your entries.
Your Control: Use the Export tool to create a portable backup at any time, or the Purge tool to instantly erase every trace of your account from this device.
